    I've visited the outlet of Costa Coffee several times over the last few weeks and I'd say my visit yesterday is typical of my experiences in this store.This city centre store is quite modern but it just doesn't have any atmosphere and carers mainly for the 'to go' customers. I like a window seat whilst I enjoy my coffee but in this store there are only a few seats next to a window. The majority are internal and the high walls which make up the majority of the store only have small skylight windows near to the ceiling to provide light but no view. This is a shame as the store is closed to the Chinese Arch and St James Park so there could be acwinderfull view.Similar to many Vista stores the food is top draw but on the expensive side.So why do you go I hear you cry. Well the store is a little quieter than other stores in the city and I can get a toasted teacake. Other Costa store in the city refuse to stick them for some reason.

Every time I visit, I am greeted by friendly and welcoming staff who are always eager to provide me with the best possible service. Speaking of service, the speed and efficiency of the staff at Costa is truly impressive. Despite the long lines that can sometimes form, they are always able to take my order quickly and accurately, and my coffee and food are always ready in no time.The coffee at Costa is simply outstanding, with a wide variety of options to choose from. Whether you prefer a latte, cappuccino, or something else entirely, the quality of the coffee is always top-notch. The milk is steamed to perfection, resulting in a creamy and delicious beverage every time.Overall, I highly recommend this Costa Coffee to anyone looking for a consistently excellent coffee shop experience. The staff are friendly, efficient, and always eager to provide the best possible service. The coffee is top-notch, and the food is delicious. As a regular, I can say with confidence that Costa is one of the best coffee shops around.

    Tldr: Reliably good coffee, nice atmosphere, well positioned, and friendly staff who go above and beyond (particularly Rebecca and Kaitlyn).My friend and I have taken it upon ourselves to try the coffee shops of Newcastle. We began with Costa and after many trials and even more espressos, we find ourselves returning here over everywhere else.Why?The staff and the atmosphere. Everyone there always puts in the extra effort to personalise your experience, be that through friendly chat or simply remembering your order. In particular, Rebecca and Kaitlyn - despite my awkward coffee order, they made an exquisite drink, exactly to my specifications. No other coffee shop I have been to has shown the same level of care; I will, no doubt, continue to frequent this café.
